We often look to law enforcement first in cases of abuse, but healthcare providers are frequently the first line of defense. On the latest episode of The Evan Bray Show, Evan sits down with Dr. James Frizzell (BSc, DDS, McGill Dental Forensics) to discuss the forensic side of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and Human Trafficking.

Dr. Frizzell highlights the vital importance of identifying “invisible” injuries, such as nonfatal strangulation and traumatic brain injuries, which are high predictors of future lethality. His work focuses on standardizing training across Canada for medical and legal professionals to ensure no victim is left behind.
